Evelyn Pearl Haddock, age 84, of Jenkins, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. Daughter of Ira and Ruth (Nelson) Brown, Evelyn was born on August 23, 1938, in Exeter, Missouri. She was a 1956 graduate of Exeter High School. On June 17, 1956, she was united in marriage to Rayburn Haddock in Exeter, sharing sixty-six memorable years before his passing on May 31, 2022.
Evelyn was a Christian woman, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Exeter. She enjoyed word puzzles, gardening, and soaking up the sun out on her front porch. Evelyn was a loving mother and grandmother; her family was always her greatest pride and joy. Evelyn was a dear woman who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her two daughters, Teresa Akehurst, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Donna Allen and her husband Gary, of Jenkins; five grandchildren, Dawn Akehurst, of Anderson, Amanda Burkheart and her husband Sean, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tracy Black and her husband Jeff, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Cody Ennis and his wife Jordan, of Exeter, and Aaron Ennis and his wife Carissa, of Cassville; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; four brothers, Larry Brown and his wife Sue, of Fairview, Roger Brown and his wife Patty, of Exeter, and Joe Brown and his wife Jina, of Cassville; one sister Kim Brown, of the State of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by three brothers, Denny Brown, Harold Loyd Brown and Frankie Brown; and one sister, Sandy Bierschual.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Ridgley Baptist Church in Ridgley, Missouri, with words of comfort spoken by Gary Allen.
A private family burial will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter at a later date.
Memorial contributions in honor of Evelyn Haddock may be made to the family and entrusted to White Funeral Home & Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
