I was shocked and sadden by the news of Evelyn's passing. My step-granddaughter was a beautiful person inside and out. I remember how she liked how I made oatmeal. She was also brave. When she was 3 years old, she had her first back surgery. I would remove her back brace, change the dressing on her wound and she would not cry or flinch. She was very loving towards me, and I will never forget that although, I was only her step-grandmother she treated me as I were another family member. The feeling was mutual. She called me Grandma and, I loved her very much.
Evelyn, you left us too soon. You will be greatly missed. May you forever rest in peace, until we meet again my love.
Grandma Hilda

I sat right next to her in Mrs.carrol class for a year straight, she was always so quiet but she was sweet and would get me my computer sometimes without me asking her too. We weren't close but its still brings me saddness to hear this news. I hope everyone in the family is well.
