Evelyn (Evey) Lily Kitchen, born November 9, 2009, passed away far too soon from multiple grand mal seizures, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love. Evey's passion for animals was evident to all who knew her. She could proudly identify and provide education to others on numerous dog breeds and their traits, always referencing her beloved book of dogs. Her special bond with her bearded dragon, Kiros, provided an ongoing source of joy; he was often found perched on her shoulder as she went about her day.
Evey brought happiness wherever she went, sharing handmade gifts, sharing jokes, playing with friends, and collecting stuffed animals. Her creativity shone through her arts and crafts, as she delighted in giving simple gifts to make others smile. She treasured time spent with friends, especially her fun-loving best friend Autumn where being silly, creating songs and enjoying time together was the highlight of any day. Evey found joy in life's simple pleasures-riding her bike with her pups Blossom and Socks and sharing smiles with everyone she met.
Though her time with us was brief, Evey touched many lives and taught us the value of kindness and appreciation for the everyday moments. She is survived by her devoted mother, Kristena Kitchen; her younger brother, Liam both of Callaway, MD; her father, Michael Kitchen of
Westminster, MD; grandparents Deb and Larry; her Aunt Elisha, Uncle Naru, Cousin Nate, a close-knit group of friends and a very loving and supportive community.
Services were held on December 23, 2025, at Union Cemetery in Burtonsville, where Evey was laid to rest alongside her sister, Bryanna, who passed away at the age of 9 years old from cancer, in 2016. A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 PM on January 17, 2026, at Patuxent Presbyterian Church, 23421 Kingston Creek Rd,
California, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Patuxent Presbyterian Church Youth Group, a place that Evey enjoyed very much. Evey's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy of love and laughter will never be forgotten.
