Evelyn Montgomery, age 92 of Huber Heights, Ohio went home to the Lord on November 6, 2024. She was born January 10, 1932 in Leslie County, Kentucky daughter of the late Arthur and Mossie (Roberts) Hoskins. 

Evelyn was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a founding member of Way of the Cross Church and was a faithful member for over 60 years. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, making quilts, knitting, doll making, cooking, and spending time with her family. She loved her Country Gospel Music, crocheting, and shopping. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Calvin Montgomery; son, James Dean Montgomery; siblings, J.B Hoskins, Lola Mae (Ace) Gilbert, Hallie (Gertist) Quarles, and Rose (Rufus) Knotts; brother-in-law, Jack Whited; sister-in-law, Donna Hoskins

She is survived by her sons, Roger (Mary) Montgomery and Kevin (Diana) Montgomery; grandchildren, Jeremy (Kristina) Montgomery, Kim (Mike) Benton, and Jenny Miller; great grandchildren, Jerrod, Jake, Dylan, Lily, and Cassie (Justin); great great grandchildren, Aubrey and Briley; siblings, Marcel Whited, Tom (Rose Lee) Hoskins, and Cecil Hoskins; sister-in-law, Judy Hoskins; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 10am-12pm at Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Drive, Riverside, Ohio 45404. A funeral service will begin at 12pm with Pastor Bill Loudermilk officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
