Evelyn A. Vlosak-Novak, a beacon of love and joy, returned to her Heavenly father on July 16, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on April 17, 1933, in the City of Chicago, IL. Evelyn lived a life characterized by her unwavering faith, her boundless enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures, and her deep devotion to her family.

Evelyn's journey on earth was marked by the love she shared and the lives she touched. In Lemont, IL, surrounded by the memories of a life well-lived, she passed away peacefully after a battle with dementia. She was a woman of strength, whose spirit shone brightly even as her memory faded, a testament to the enduring power of the human spirit.

Family was the cornerstone of Evelyn's life. She was a cherished mother to Denise (Dan) Clausen, Mike Vlosak and John (the late Dina) Vlosak; a doting grandmother to Samantha Clausen, Steven Vlosak, and Anthony (Mary) Vlosak. Evelyn was a loving Auntie to many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a daughter to the late Mary Slowik-Ziomek and granddaughter to the late Anna Slowik (Bushia). Evelyn found love and companionship in her marriages to the late Tony Vlosak and Fred Novak. Each relationship was nurtured with care, laughter and an abundance of love. Evelyn was a loving sister to the late John Ziomek and Valerie (Roy) Gawrych.

Evelyn's Christian faith was the guiding light that led her through life's trials and triumphs. She embodied the teachings of Christ, not only in her worship but in her daily interactions with all those she met. Her life was a living sermon, inspiring others to embrace kindness, forgiveness and compassion.

Her interests were as varied as they were joyous. Evelyn cherished time with family and friends, whether it was playing with her puppies, enjoying a movie or a musical, visiting the zoo, or engaging in spirited games of cards, poker, bingo, or other games. She had a love for life that was infectious, and her laughter was a melody that echoed in the hearts of all who knew her. Traveling was another passion, allowing her to explore the world, gathering stories and memories that she would share with sparkling eyes and animated gestures.

As we bid farewell to Evelyn A. Vlosak-Novak, we celebrate a life that was truly a reflection of God's love. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, a blueprint for life well-lived, and a reminder to all to cherish every moment. While she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to guide and uplift us, just as the memory of her unwavering light will forever brighten our paths.
