Evelyn Christine Ware

Evelyn Christine Ware, 94, of Mattaponi, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Christine was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She loved crafting projects, and made countless wreaths, clothes pin angels, and bows throughout the years. Christine was a lifelong member of Hermitage Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John Alfred Ware; her parents, Roger and Pearl Marshall; four brothers, Elmo, Earl, Oscar and Wilton Marshall; and two sisters, Joyce Carlson Britt and Elfie Davis. Christine is survived by her daughter, Cindy Norman and her husband, Bob; her son, Mark Ware and his wife, Shara; a brother, Albert Marshall and his wife, Jean; three grandchildren, Kristie Burrill, Joshua Ware (Genevieve) and Jeremy Ware (Lindsey); two great-grandchildren, Ainsley and Quinn Burrill; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2025, in Hermitage Baptist Church Cemetery, 94 Wares Bridge Road, Church View, VA 23032. The family would like to thank Riverside Hospice for the loving care that they provided, as well as a special care giver, Sandy Cruz.
