Everett Burns DeBerry, 91, of Deer Park, passed away on March 27, 2025, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born on June 25, 1933, in Deer Park, he was the son of the late Corwin Burns and Mary Helene (Sebold) DeBerry.

Everett "Bud" was a member of the Oakland High School class of 1951. He was a skilled heavy equipment operator and mechanic, as well as a devoted farmer. Episcopalian by faith, he loved attending any church whenever he had the opportunity. Bud was a member in the Operating Engineers Local 37, The National Pike Steam, Gas, and Horse Association, The Future Farmers of America, Historical Construction Equipment Association, The Missouri Valley Wrench Club, International Watch Fob Association, The Garrett County Historical Society, The Garrett County Democrat Club, and formerly the Garrett County Farm Bureau. He served as a former mayor of Deer Park and was a past member of the Deer Park Town Council. Following in his grandparents' footsteps, Bud sold cemetery plots from his farm. In 1986, he opened FA Tractor and Implement Parts in Deer Park, selling tractor and implement parts. From 1951 to 1985, he worked in the construction industry as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic, contributing to projects such as the Bloomington Dam and the V at Sideling Hill. Bud cherished his Northwest Steam Shovels and Farmall tractors, and he enjoyed collecting watch fobs and tools, attending auctions, deer hunting, and farming. A natural storyteller who never met a stranger, Bud brought people together with his tales and warm spirit. His life was a blend of hard work and passion, whether he was operating machinery, tending the land, or sharing a laugh at an auction.

He is survived by his four children, Debra King and husband Clyde of Glen Burnie, MD, John DeBerry and wife Pamela of Stafford, VA, Thomas DeBerry and wife Becky of Deer Park, and Rebecca "Becky" Tasker and husband David also of Deer Park; eleven grandchildren, Kimberly Burckhardt and husband Paul, Roxanne Kilmer and husband Brian, Jonathan King and wife Melissa, Amanda Basile and husband Joe, Heather Haynes and husband Daryl, Jacob DeBerry and wife Jennifer, Allison Patton and husband KC, Adrienne Lopez and husband Brandon, Megan DeBerry, Ethan DeBerry, and Brooklyn Tasker and fiance Brendan Anderson; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Gene DeBerry and Companion Janet of Ripley, WV, and Douglas DeBerry and wife Beverly of Oakland; and his companion, Gladys Wensel Faherty.
