Everett Duncan McDaniel, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
Duncan was born to Homer and Pearl (Houston) McDaniel on January 28, 1937, in Excelsior Springs. He graduated from Excelsior Springs High School and then worked in management at A & P grocery stores, as a truck driver, and as a house painter. He also proudly served many years in active duty in the Army and in the Air Force Reserves, from which he retired as a Sergeant.
Duncan was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty years, Leila Lynette McDaniel; his parents; and his eight siblings, Kenneth, Homer Glen, John Billy, Gerald, Joseph, Betty, Delores, and Donna.
His survivors include his sons, Jeff (Lee) and Tim (Patricia); his cherished grandchildren, Haiden, Ben, Molly, Megan, and Luca, and great-grandchildren, Emma and Evie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was especially grateful to his nephew, Kirk Woods, and niece, Rene Sisk, for the exceptional love and care they showed towards him.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 02, 2025, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation to the Disabled American Veterans at dav.org.
