Evertt Roy Koehler

Evertt Roy Koehler, age 87, of Niangua, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026.

Evertt was born to Walter Koehler and Sylvia Koehler on April 15, 1938, in Competition, Missouri. He was raised in Lynchburg, Missouri.

Evertt was united in marriage to Georgia Koehler, and the couple shared 13 years of marriage before her passing in 1978. Together they were blessed with two children.

Evertt was employed as a heavy equipment operator in bridge consctruction for 42 years. He was known for being the best at what he did, taking pride in his work. Most of those bridges are still standing- ones we cross every day. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time working on his antique tractors, a pastime that brought him great joy.

A 25- year survivor of laryngeal cancer, Evertt was a tough man and a true fighter. He will be rembered for his strength, resilience, and determination.

Evertt was preceded in death by his spouse, Georgia Koehler; his father, Walter Koehler; and his mother, Sylvia Koehler.

His is survived by his son, Steven Koehler, and his daughter, Donna Johnson.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.

Dad's only wish would be for "no damn crying".
