Evie Lee Harlow Tharp, 93, of Glasgow, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Shanti Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 3, 1931, in Eighty Eight to the late Charlie Perry Harlow and the late Geneva Bushong Harlow. She was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church where she attended faithfully. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, helped in vacation Bible school, and was on the food committee. Evie attend Morrison Park and Temple Hill High School. She worked at Handmacher for 29 years and ACK for six years. She was a talented seamstress to many friends. She enjoyed her friendship with many awesome friends.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Janie Tharp; granddaughter, Monica Carol Davis (Corey); great grandchildren, Ella Davis and Griffin Davis; five sisters, Yvonne Lewis, Annette Simmons (Guy), Charlene Curtis (Jake), Sue Billingsley (Charles), and Nancy Harold.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Ralph Tharp; two sons, Carroll Tharp and David Tharp; one sister, Jean Pardue; three brothers, Charles Harlow Jr., Jerry Lynn Harlow, and Michael Harlow.
Services for Ms. Tharp will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, March 24, 2025 at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 23, 2025, and will resume Monday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
