Phillip "Dickie" Malone, born on June 12, 1951, in Nassau, Bahamas, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, at the TJ Samson Community Hospital. He was a man who lived life to the fullest, embracing the great outdoors and cherishing every moment spent with his family and friends.
An avid outdoorsman, Phillip's love for hunting, fishing, and boating defined many of his happiest memories. He had an exceptional talent for cooking, often bringing loved ones together around the table for joyous meals filled with laughter and stories. The bonds he nurtured with those closest to him were a testament to the warmth and kindness he consistently shared.
Phillip is survived by his devoted daughters, Dawn Marie Long, Marica Pinder (Joshua), and Janique Raquel Malone. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Megan Marie Long, Bianca Sowers, Victoria Long, Austin Lessenberry, and Christian Pinder, and he was a thrilled great-grandfather to Noah Gooch, Charlotte Sowers, and Atlas Pinder. His nurturing spirit extended to his loving sisters, Gillian Albury and Linda Christopher, and he held dear relationships with several nieces and nephews. Among his cherished friends, Matthew Albury and John Sweeting were particularly special to him, having shared many unforgettable moments.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Newell Malone and Sybil Malone, as well as his beloved wife, Charlotte Malone. He was also mourned by his brother, Gregory Malone, and his sister, Sharon Sands. Their fond memories of Phillip will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him, as he leaves behind a legacy of love and adventure.
He will be remembered not only for his passion for the outdoors but also for the profound impact he made on the lives of those around him. As family and friends come together to honor his life, they will carry forward the joyous spirit that Phillip embodied. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
