Evylena Thompson, age 69 of Poteau, Oklahoma passed away from this life on October 2, 2025 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Evylena was born on April 16, 1956 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Cora (Peniska) and Ramsey Thompson Sr. She worked for Choctaw Nation Health as an operator for many years. She married Karl Holehouse in Las Vegas in 2015. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Evylena is survived by her husband Karl of the home; son, Raymond Holehouse; and brother, Joel Gross as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends. Cremation services are being provided by McCarn Funeral Service. The family will host a memorial service on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 2:00PM at Pine Grove located at 11160 SE 1140 Ave Talihina, Oklahoma.
