Ewel Carlton Ford

FORD – Ewel Carlton Ford, age 87, of Loganville, Georgia, passed away December 6, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 with Pastor Steve Lewallen officiating. Ewel was known as a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed gardening, tending to the earth with his hands and watching the fruits of his labor grow. Nature was his refuge, and he embraced it with the same wholehearted spirit he brought to every part of his life. He had an extraordinary gift for storytelling. His jokes, quick wit, and infectious sense of humor could fill a room with laughter. A true NASCAR enthusiast, he could often be found cheering on his favorite drivers, adding a spirited energy to race days that brought friends and family together. Generous to a fault, he never turned away a stranger in need. His helping hands and open heart touched countless lives, reflecting a life lived with compassion, humility, and sincerity. Ewel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed. Ewel is preceded in death by his parents, George & Iola (Beasley) Ford; daughter, Renae Ebner; and siblings, James, Ray, Harold, Henry, Mary, & Gertrude. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Sharon (Begitschke) Bray; children & their spouses, Scott (Dominque) Ford, Greg (Celina) Ford, Gwen (Steve) Barrett; grandchildren, Scotty Ford, Matt Ford, Levi Ford, Shawn Ford, Christin Ebner, Christopher Ebner, Alex Ebner, Lindsey Ebner, Ryan Barneson, Tiffany Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Scotty Ford, Lily Ford, Kaylee Ford, Kurtis Ford, Michael Barneson, Madolyn Barneson, Isabella Kelsey, Braelynn Kelsey; numerous nieces & nephews.
