MORTON – F. Eileen Tackett passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

The daughter of Fred and Nellie Eckhardt, she was born January 28, 1933, in Danvers, Illinois. Eileen married William L. Tackett on October 7, 1950, in Bloomington, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 23, 2019.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by their four daughters, Katherine (Harry) Johnson, Linda (Dennis) Eft, Pamela (Steven) Ward and Michelle (William) Adams; seven grandchildren, Robert (Lisa) Wills, Kathryn N. Wills, Gregory Eft, Kimberly (Justin) Cox, Sara (Shane) Hill, Adam (Chastady) Donaldson and Jennie Donaldson; and nine great grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Addison, Ava, Ellie, Jackson, Jaci, Gunner and John.

Eileen graduated from Hittle Township High School in 1950.

The arrival of four daughters provided her blessing and purpose. Making a home for Bill and the girls gave her so much joy. Bill and Eileen raised their girls in Bloomington, then moved to Morton making many dear friends along the way.

Eileen was a woman of faith and found her loving church home in Morton Christian Church.

The family acknowledges with deep gratitude the loving care provided to Eileen during her stay at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Morton Christian Church. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. following the visitation. Entombment will be in Park Hill Mausoleum in Bloomington at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Eileen's memory to Morton Christian Church, 1001 South Fourth Avenue, Morton, Illinois 61550.
