MONTPELIER – Fannie Maynard, 106, a former resident of Fuller Street, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Woodridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin.
Born on March 29, 1919, in Cambridge, she was the daughter of Fred and Ada (Kusic) McNally.
She attended elementary school in Cambridge and graduated from Jeffersonville High School.
On May 18, 1940, she married Gaylord Maynard in Enosburg Falls. Gaylord passed away in 1994.
Fannie worked at the M.H. Fishman’s Store in Montpelier for many years and then later at The Tavern Hotel in Montpelier.
In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her son Philip Maynard and his wife, Regina; and her seven grandchildren, Ricky, Carla, Tammy, Brian, Wendy, Vicki, and Rodney, as well as seven great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Gaylord Maynard, her daughter Judy and husband Ronnie Marvin, her son Ronald, as well as her ten siblings.
The graveside service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours.
