During the spring season, Sidney and Almedia Ford welcomed their baby girl, Fannie Ruth Ford, on March 22, 1930, in Strong, Arkansas.

She accepted Christ at a very early age, uniting with the Curry Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Strong, Arkansas. "Mama Fannie," as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, graduated from Gardner High School in Strong, Arkansas. Her work career started with Oak Ridge Nursing Home in El Dorado, Arkansas, where she was a Certified Nurse Assistant and a Licensed Practical Nurse for over forty years until her retirement.

She enjoyed life, her children, grandchildren, family and friends. However, she had a great passion for cooking, and most of all, her famous greens, dumplings, and tea cakes were very tasty. Her cooking skills went far beyond her family; they became an art and science to her as she prepared special dishes for others. She would also take the time to prepare her dishes in a certain way to enhance her table setting. She always put her best simple baking and roasting skills to use for her family for many years.

On March 13, 1949, she united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. George "Drag" Robinson.

On October 12th in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family, Mama Fannie transitioned from this life where she will unite with her parents: Sidney & Almedia Ford, her husband; George Robinson, her son; Lawrence Robinson, son-in-love; Orlando Reed, her grandchildren; Darren Reed, Natalie Ford and Stacy Robinson, her great-grandson; Jaylen Robinson, her siblings; Sidney Ford, Ervin Ford, Dossie V. Moore, Bobbie Winn, Annie Bell Hall, Josie Everidge and Maurice Brice.

Her memories will forever be cherished by her daughter, Lorraine Robinson Reed of Strong, Arkansas. Her sons: Freddie Robinson (Loretta), Eddie James Robinson, Freeman Robinson (Diann), Nathan Robinson, all of Strong, Arkansas, George Robinson (Chiquita) of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Bruce Robinson of Marion, Louisiana. Her sister, Mildred White, of Kansas City, Missouri. She also leaves nineteen grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will keep her legacy alive and miss her dearly.
