The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Scottsboro Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. A graveside funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Joe David Moore officiating. Fannie Lee Short was from Scottsboro, Alabama. Preceding family members include William "Bud" Russell and Bertha Wells Russell, who were her father and mother, respectively. Alice Russell, Augusta Wynn, Nell Helton, Shirley Smart, Helen Stubblefield, William "Bruce" Russell, Bet, and George Bodie Russell were her siblings. Margaret Deerman was her sister. Surviving family members include Conni Hall, who was her daughter, Webb, who was her son-in-law, and Matthew Gray, Grace, Winn Hall, and Claire Hall, who were her grandchildren.
