Fay Levinson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sinai Memorial Chapels - Delray Beach on Apr. 24, 2025.
Fay Ellen Levinson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, in Boca Raton, Florida. Born on March 22, 1944, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Fay Ellen spent her early years in Scranton before moving to Philadelphia, where her children were born. The family later relocated to Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, in 1974, where Fay Ellen continued to raise her family with love and dedication. In 1989, she moved to Coral Springs, Florida, where she embraced life surrounded by family.
Fay Ellen is survived by her cherished son, Michael Levinson of Southbury, Connecticut, and her adoring daughter, Lisa Feldman, who resides in Surfside, Florida, with her husband, Andrew Feldman. She took immense pride in her two grandchildren, Sydney and Max Feldman, who were the light of her life. Fay Ellen's family was her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She is also survived by her beloved brothers, William Schwartz of Boca Raton, FL and Martin Schwartz of Norwalk, CT, and many family members and friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness. Fay Ellen is preceded in death by her brother, Frank Schwartz, and her loving parents, Hannah and Sidney Schwartz, who instilled in her the values of family and tradition that she carried throughout her life.
Fay Ellen had a passion for the simple joys in life, often delighting in card games, particularly canasta and mahjong. She would often claim she wasn't the best player, but if she managed to win a few dollars, it made her day. A proud member of the Jewish community, Fay Ellen held her faith close to her heart, embracing traditions that brought her joy, including matzo ball soup and a good corned beef sandwich.
Her vibrant spirit, love for family, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held on April 27th in Palm Beach Gardens, where family and friends will gather to share memories and honor the remarkable woman she was.
