MASSENA – Fay M. Scully, 82, peacefully passed away early Friday morning, August 1, 2025 at the home of her daughter.
Fay was born on September 21, 1942 in Massena, the daughter of the late Percy J. "Dutch" and Marjorie (Pitts) LePage. She attended Massena Central Schools graduating in 1960. On June 15, 1963, she married J. Dennis Scully. They were blessed with three children before their marriage ended. He predeceased her on September 22, 1999. Fay was blessed to have found love again with Gary Fuller. They shared their love for over 30 years before his death on October 5, 2022.
Fay first worked at the Boston Store before working for a time at Levine's Department Store. She then worked for Dr. Gary Hanley, OD before starting her employment at SeaComm Federal Credit Union, where she was a loan officer, retiring in 2003.
Fay lived a life full of grace, strength, and kindness. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a loyal friend, and a woman who truly enjoyed the simple joys in life – especially playing golf and traveling, two passions that brought her so much happiness over the years. Her travels and vacations with Gary were always great experiences.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a volunteer for Massena Back the Pack. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose and the Ladies Association at Massena Country Club serving as their treasurer for many years. She touched many lives with her warmth, laughter, and quiet resilience. Her memory will live on in all of us who knew and loved her.
Fay is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Scott Perrine of Massena; her son, Patrick Scully and his wife, Natasha of Chesapeake, Virginia; her daughter-in-law, Marcie (Leffler) Scully of Louisville; her grandchildren, Breanna Allred (David), Courtney Barnes-Spears, Nathaniel and Brooke Scully, Hunter, Gavin, and Lydia Perrine, and Colin, Keegan, and Shea Scully; her great grandchildren, Joanna Allred, Benjamin, Camden, and Jessica Spears; her sisters who were also her best friends, Linda LePage and her husband, Jerry Laffin and Mardie LePage (Mike Power); her sisters-in-law, Polly (Mellon) LePage of Norwood and Linda (Weegar) LePage of Massena; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephew, great-grand nieces and nephews, and cousins.
She is also survived by Gary's children, Rick Fuller, Christine Liberty and her husband, Bob, and Terri Vandermast and her husband, Howie; and their families.
In addition to her parents and her companion, Gary, she was predeceased by a son, Sean Scully on May 8, 2006; her brothers, Paul (Norene), Donald "Pete", Eugene "Butch", Gary, and Gerald "Babe" (Shirley) LePage; her sister, Ruth (Charles Sr.) Sharlow; and a nephew, Jason LePage.
