Massena: Nancy E. Convertini, age 80, passed away peacefully surround by her loving family at her home on Tuesday Afternoon, August 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to call the Phillips Memorial Home, Massena on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church, with Rev. Mark Reilly officiating. Massena with burial to be held in Calvary Cemetery, Massena.

Nancy was born to the late Vince and Catherine (Rowe) Caruso on May 16, 1945 in Potsdam, NY. She attended Potsdam schools and graduated from Potsdam High School in 1964. Shortly after, Nancy had meet and feel in love with her future husband Harry L. Convertini. They were married in Potsdam, NY at St. Mary's Church on June 18, 1966. They soon began their family as she worked for the Eisenhower Locks Visitor Center. Nancy worked at the concession stand and operated the gift shop up until its temporary closing during 9/11.

She was active with the ladies auxiliary for many fraternal organization such as the VFW and AMVETS.

Nancy also served as Ladies Auxiliary President over a 6 year period for the Massena AMVETS Post No. 4, Ladies Auxiliary President for the Massena VFW Post No. 1143, and also had the honor of serving a term as New York State Ladies Auxiliary President for the AMVETS.

In her younger years, Nancy loved to play softball and bowl. She had been one of the many passionate individuals, for initiating women softball leagues in Massena.

Nancy also was also a business owners for the bar Trade Winds Tavern, located in Massena that she operated from 1979 until 1985.

She was also an excellent cook who enjoyed sharing meals with friends and family.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband Harry L. Convertini, and their children; Kimberly and husband Dennis Class of Lake Mary, FL, Kelly Convertini and her companion Kevin Sharlow of Massena, NY and Tony Convertini of Columbia, SC. Nancy also shares her memory to be cherished by her 7 grandchildren; Allan Villnave (Janelle), Andy Villnave, Alexandra Convertini (Konnor), Trevor Convertini (Faleshia), Taylor Convertini (Shawn), Kinley Convertini and Logan Sharlow,

She is also survived by her brother Vince and wife Cindy Caruso of Norwood, NY, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son Trevor J. Convertini in 1975, a grandson Adam Villnave, and her sister Sharon Mason and brothers James, Thomas and Robert "Bobbie" Caruso.

In lieu of flowers, the family would wish for any memorial contributions to be shared with Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley; 6805 US-11, Potsdam, New York 13676.
