Fay Marie Talley, a cherished friend, devoted daughter, and beloved sister, peacefully departed this world on December 23, 2025, at the age of 64 in
Virginia Beach, Virginia, after courageously battling a long illness. Born on December 7, 1961, in
Charleston, South Carolina, Fay spent her life embracing love, faith, and service.
Throughout her career in hospitality, Fay showered countless people with warmth and kindness, whether she was working at a bustling restaurant, ensuring guests felt at home in a hotel, or caring for children as a dedicated nanny. Her genuine smile and compassionate demeanor illuminated the lives of those fortunate enough to cross her path.
A steadfast woman of the Lord, Fay was deeply committed to her faith and her church community. She actively participated in church activities, offering her time and talents generously until her health no longer permitted. Her spirit of faith was unwavering, and she inspired many through her devotion and vibrant energy.
Fay's adventurous soul loved to travel, always seeking new experiences and cherishing the beauty of the world. She was constantly on the move, exploring new landscapes and embracing every opportunity for adventure with enthusiasm and grace.
Fay was preceded in death by her father, Richard Barnett; brother, Demetrius Ramos; and stepfather, Anthony Ramos. She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to celebrate her life: her mother, Hellen Ramos; brothers Anthony Frazier, Rolando Ramos, Richard Barnett, Jr. (Kazumi), Merlin Barnett; sisters Antoine Wilson (Robert), Gwendolyn Simmons (Alfonso), and Dion Ramos (Sabrina); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
The memory of Fay Marie Talley will forever be cherished by those who love her. We are grateful that she is now reunited with her Savior, finding peace and eternal rest. Her legacy of faith, kindness, and adventure continues to shine brightly through all who knew her.
A service to honor Fay's remarkable life will be held at a later date in her hometown of
