Faye Erickson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Messinger Mortuaries- Indian School Mortuary on Jan. 17, 2026.
Phoenix - Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, following a brief illness. She lived a life rooted in love, faith, and deep connection to others, leaving a memory in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Faye was born on August 2, 1942, in Humboldt, Michigan, to the late Jacob and Ida Wisuri. As the youngest child, she often accompanied her mother while visiting friends, family, and neighbors-earning the nickname "the visiting girl." These early experiences shaped the warm, outgoing, and compassionate spirit that defined her throughout her life.
On October 3, 1964, Faye married Robert Erickson. Together, they started their life together in Minneapolis, Minnesota, before moving their family to Michigan in 1973. Bob and Faye made their home in Humboldt for 30 years, until Bob's passing in 2005. In 2006, Faye moved to Menahga, Minnesota, where she lived for 17 years, and in 2023 she relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where she remained until her passing.
Faye formed meaningful friendships throughout North America and was known for her genuine interest in people. She loved antiquing, traveling, and visiting with friends and family, always greeting others with a warm smile and a kind word. Her presence made people feel seen, valued, and welcome.
Faith was the cornerstone of Faye's life. She held fast to her childhood faith and remained a believer until the very end.
Faye will be deeply missed by her children: Jennifer Erickson of Phoenix, AZ; Phillip (Debbie) of Post Falls, ID; Todd (Connie) of Deer Park, WA; Amy Jordan of Plano, TX; Briitta Rogers of St. Petersburg, FL; Jonathan (Michelle) of Wolf Lake, MN; Andrew (Amy) of Cave Creek, AZ; and Nathan (Angela) of Menahga, MN. She is also survived by 45 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Erickson; her grandson, Michael Erickson; and her sons-in-law, Robert Rogers and Dan Jordan.
Faye's life was a testament to kindness, faith, and love-gifts she freely gave and which will continue to live on through her family and friends.
