Chapman Funeral Home - SwainsboroMrs. Faye Moxley Sconyers, 91, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at Emanuel County Nursing Home. She was a native of Emanuel County, wife of the late Luther Samuel Sconyers, Sr. and daughter of the late George W. and Mattie Mae Moxley.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Charles Moxley.
She was a homemaker raising three children and later assisting in the care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Faye was also a great-great grandma. She was a member of Emmanuel Worship Center.
Faye is survived by her son, Sammy Sconyers (Barbara) of Twin City; daughters, Sandra S. Wright (Dale) of Swainsboro, Sylvia Sconyers of Twin City brothers, James Moxley (Jackie) of Canoochee, Danny Moxley (Patti) of Brunswick; 6 grandchildren, Jodi Reynolds (Alton), Math Bennett (Angela), Brad Wright (Joanie), Michelle Edenfield (Justin), Wes Wright, Geisha English (Angel); 13 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Reverend Greg Ely officiating.
Interment will be at Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers will be Chad Canady, Zack Canady, Math Bennett, Brad Wright, Nick Reynolds and T.J. Freeman.
