Faye Colston Self

Mrs. Faye Colston Self, age 77, of Adairsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior February 4, 2024, the same day her mother passed 29 years ago.
Mrs. Self was born in Calhoun, GA, November 30, 1946, daughter of the late James R. Colston and Thelma Bailey Colston. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Delmus Harry Self; a sister, Glenda Bryan, and brothers, Ronald Colston, Larry Colston, and Jimmy Colston (Katherina); brother-in-law, Danny Self. She was a faithful member of the Adairsville Church of Christ. Faye worked as an accountant for numerous years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Faye always cherished time spent with family and friends. She was a shoe loving, kindhearted, precious soul who will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her son, Josh Self (Angie); stepson, Shane Self (Denise); grandchildren, Marissa Self (Austin Tucker), Aaron Brooks, Aiden Brooks, Brittany Rowland (Roger), Tiffany Self, and Jace Self; great-grandson, Jaxson Tucker; sisters, Sheila Self and Jeanette Waters (Lewis); brothers, King James Colston, Rodney Colston, and Ricky Colston (Sheila); sister-in-law, Rita Self and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Faye's life will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Adairsville Church of Christ with Ministers Rick Lawson and Steve McCaslin officiating.
R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Faye Colston Self.
