Uxbridge- Faye M. (Cassista) Storey, 86, of Crown and Eagle Apts. passed away unexpectedly on Fri. June 16, 2023 after a brief illness. Her husband of 54 years James F. Storey died Nov. 11, 2010. They would have celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary the day Faye passed.
She is survived by her 4 children James R. Storey of Uxbridge, Pamela A. Knowlton and her husband David of Pascoag, RI, John P. Storey and his wife Cheryl of Uxbridge; and Paul M. Storey and his wife Sheree of Johnston, RI; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law Angelica "Angie" Alicia of Whitinsville; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son David F. Storey on Aug. 30, 2022. Faye was also sister of the late Barbara Jones and Gloria Nestor.
Born in Whitinsville, MA on March 1, 1937 she was the daughter of Adelard and Emma (Guyan) Cassista and was raised in Douglas. She lived in Uxbridge 65 years.
Mrs. Storey worked as a Bank Teller for UniBank for Savings in their Uxbridge Branch for 20 years, retiring when she turned 62. Previously she worked for the Stanley Woolen Co and Bernat Yarn Co. both in Uxbridge as well as G.E. Telechron in Ashland several years.
Faye was an excellent baker and an avid sports fan, following the Boston Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots. She liked flowers and trips to Ogunquit, ME with her husband Jim. She was a graduate of Douglas Memorial High School, Class of 1955, and a member of St. Mary's Church. Family was important to Faye, especially her grand kids and great-grandkids.
Her funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family. She will be buried with her husband in St. Mary's Cemetery.
