Faye Watkins

Faye Watkins, age 80, of Holly Creek, Oklahoma, died on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Friday, February 20, 1942 to Louis Willis and Dovie Lillian Cockerham Johnson in Garvin, Oklahoma.
Faye was a woman of faith and believed strongly in the power of prayer. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Broken Bow, where she also enjoyed the sweet fellowship of the ladies in her women's Bible study group. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking for her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Faye was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Reford "R.V." Watkins; her son, Dennis Watkins; her brother, Wayne Johnson and her sister, Virginia Ruthart.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Glynis Watkins Mailand and husband, Glenn of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; her daughter-in-law, Tammy Watkins of Oak Hill, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Ginger Johnson of Holly Creek, Oklahoma; two sisters and brothers in law, Debrah and Steve Walls of Holly Creek, Oklahoma and Georgia and Nate Sorrels of Holly Creek, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Taylor Metcalf and wife, Ashley, Christan Metcalf, Callie Crittenden and Seth Watkins and wife, Cristina; four great-grandchildren, Ellie Metcalf, Lakelyn May, Lylah Metcalf and Legend Metcalf; many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Broken Bow First Assembly of God in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with Pastor Terry Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Creek Cemetery in Holly Creek, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 2-4 P.M. at Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Seth Watkins, Steven Walls, Mark Patterson, Mark Johnson, David Hallman, Keith Sorrels, Nathaniel Sorrels, Brent Sorrels and Scotty Fischer.
