Felicetta Clementi passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 2, 2025. Born on July 10, 1927, in the picturesque village of Settefrati, Italy, Felicetta's journey of 97 years was marked by devotion to her family, her friends, and her faith.
Felicetta was the cherished matriarch of a family that spanned generations. Her life story began in Italy, but her heart found its home in New York, where she moved with her beloved husband, Roberto. Together, they embarked on a journey to build a life and raise a family, a dream they realized with love and perseverance.
Her early years in America saw Felicetta working as a talented seamstress in the Bronx, a skill in which she took great pride. Her keen eye for detail was not only instrumental in her work but also in the care she took in crafting a warm and welcoming home for her children and, later, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her kindness was as legendary as her cooking, with family gatherings often centered around her delicious meals, which were made with love and served with warmth. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, instilling in them the values of love and kindness that she held so dear.
Felicetta's life was one of unwavering faith. As a long-time member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac, she found strength and solace in her beliefs, which guided her through the many chapters of her life. It was her faith that she leaned on in times of both joy and sorrow.
Felicetta leaves behind loving family members, who are testimonies to her warmth and nurturing spirit. She is survived by her son, Andrew, and daughter-in-law, Lucy; her daughter, Rita, and son-in-law, Fernando; as well as her adored grandchildren, Joseph (Lauren), Craig (Clancy), Stephen (Morgan), and Christopher. Her legacy continues to bloom through her great-grandchildren, Lilah, Gianna, Sadie, Evelyn, and Connor, all of whom brought immense joy to her later years.
Predeceased by her husband, Roberto, and her four brothers, Giuseppe, Carmine, Antonio, and Luigi, Felicetta's memory will be eternally preserved in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her presence was a constant in the lives of her family, and her absence will be felt deeply.
