Funeral service for Felipe Nuncio Diaz, Jr., age 69, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home, with Bro. Johnny Flores, Restoration Church, officiating.
Rosary and visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.
Felipe passed away Sunday, August 24, 2024, in Altus, Oklahoma. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery.
He was born December 17, 1954, in Brownsville, Texas, to Felipe Sr. and Maria (Nuncio) Diaz. He grew up in Davidson and attended Davidson schools. He later moved to Frederick. He was united in marriage Ruby Mathew in 1974. He worked for Mathews Roofing and at Dad’s Convenient Store. He enjoyed playing cards and loved listening to his music. He was an "Elvis" fanatic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Ruby (Mathew) Diaz; his wife: Ruby; a brother: Jesus (Ricky) Diaz, and a sister: Irene Diaz Cruz.
Survivors include one son: Michael Diaz (girlfriend Amanda), of Frederick, a daughter: Denise Horneck (Anthony), of Azle, Texas; siblings: Joe Diaz (Tina), of Frederick, Teresa Fraire (Vern Shelton), of Tipton, Susie Barajas (Francisco), of Frederick, Elena Hernandez, of Waco, Texas, Christina Martinez (Juan), of Crowell, Texas; grandchildren: Destiny Diaz (Bailey), Devin Diaz and William Jones (Taylor); eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
