Felipe Alonzo Gonzales Jr.

Felipe "Phillip" Gonzales, Jr. passed on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 peacefully surrounded by family at his home in San Marcos, Texas.
Phillip was born on July 10, 1951 in San Marcos, Texas to Felipe Gonzales, Sr. and Josefina Alonzo Gonzales. He married the love of his life, Linda, on June 9, 1973. During their 51 years of marriage, they demonstrated a marriage full of faith and devotion. Phillip, lovingly known by his grandchildren as Otto, was a devoted grandfather, father, husband, son, brother, and friend.
Many looked up to Phillip and saw him as a role model. His dedication also extended to his 45 year-long employment at Thermon Manufacturing. Hardworking is only one of the many incredible qualities that Phillip exhibited throughout his life. He was also kind, patient, loyal, and compassionate. He highly exemplified a "good and faithful servant" like the verse Matthew 25:23. Phillip was a man of faith and served in the church and in his community.
Phillip enjoyed both watching and playing sports, particularly golf and football. He also was a coach for youth soccer and baseball. Phillip enjoyed competing in BBQ cook-offs with his son, Daniel. He will be greatly missed.
Phillip is survived by his wife Linda, son Daniel (Shanti), grandchildren Madison, Evan (Juliana), and Aidan; siblings Freddie (Janie), Manuel (Gloria), Isabel, Sylvia, Bertha, Jesse, and numerous nieces and nephews.
