Felix Garza Medina III
(February 6, 1966 – January 23, 2025)
Felix Garza Medina III, born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2025. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Felix was 58 years old.
A proud graduate of Luther Burbank High School (Class of 1984), Felix went on to earn his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio (Class of 2003). He dedicated much of his life to public service, working at Bexar County Sheriff's Department, Edgewood ISD and Alamo Colleges, where his contributions were deeply valued.
Felix's greatest joy in life was his family. He leaves behind his loving wife, Maria Gutierrez Medina; his daughter, Christine Marie Medina; son, Felix Gutierrez Medina IV (Ashley Navejar-Medina), and youngest son Francisco Leon Medina. He was also a proud grandfather to his grandchildren: Madison Marie Medina, Gabriella Love Navejar, and Felix Navejar Medina V. Felix was known for his deep love and devotion to his family, always finding time to make memories with them, especially enjoying fishing trips and special moments with his grandchildren.
Felix was a kind-hearted soul who always sought to help others. His generosity, warmth, and commitment to the well-being of those around him left a lasting impact. His family, friends, and community will forever remember him for his unwavering love and willingness to lend a hand, no matter the circumstances.
Felix is survived by his brothers: Michael Medina, Andrew Medina, Johnny Medina, and David Medina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Garcia Medina Jr., Anita Garza Medina, and his mother-in-law, Cristina Gutierrez and father-in-law, Leon Gutierrez.
Visitation will be on February 6, 2025 from 4:00-8:00p at Palm Heights Funeral Home with the Rosary at 6:30pm. A Mass in his honor will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel on February 7th at 10:00am.
Felix will be greatly missed, but his memory and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
