Felix Ricardo 'Ricky' Vasquez, Jr., of Hondo, Texas, passed away April 19, 2025 at the age of 73. He was born April 27, 1951 in Weslaco, Texas, to Felix Vasquez, Sr. and Carmen Anzaldua Vasquez.
Felix graduated from McAllen High School in 1970. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. On April 13, 1982, he married Dorothy Ann Pargas in San Antonio. They were blessed with two sons and forty-three years of marriage.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Vasquez of Hondo; sons, Michael Vasquez of San Marcos and Justen Vasquez (Zenia Mota) of Hondo; grandchildren, Michael Vasquez, Jr., Nikolai Vasquez, and Sarafina Vasquez; siblings, Hermila V. Garcia, Marta Garcia (Benny), Angela Brewster (Frank), and Cathy Vasquez (Manuel); brother-in-law and best friend, Robert Lyons; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Veronica Lyons, and brother, Jerry Vasquez.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (Shelter #2) in San Antonio, Texas.
