Mr. Fernando M. Almas

Mr. Fernando M. Almas, a resident of Medford, passed away at the Medford Rehabilitation & Nursing Center on Sunday, February 15, 2026. He was 71 years old.

Born in the Azores, he was the beloved son of the late Manuel and Conceicao (Moreira) Almas. Mr. Almas was a General Contractor, specializing in general carpentry. He was an avid soccer fan. Ferando was a devoted father, brother and uncle. He will be dearly missed.

Fernando is survived by his son; Michael Almas of Somerville, siblings; Manuel and his wife Fatima Almas of Somerville, Fatima Raposo of Roselle Park, New Jersey, Daniel and his wife Fatima Almas of Taunton, Carlos "Charlie" and his wife Marie Almas of Manchester, New Hampshire, Lubelia and her husband Antonio Rainha of Windham, New Hampshire, Cidalia and her husband Bill Ryan of Florida and Helena and her husband Daniel Paquette of Litchfield, New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews. Fernando was also the father of the late Joshua Almas, brother of the late Imaculada Almas and Jose and his wife Lucinda Raposo and brother-in-law of the late Renato Raposo.

Visitation will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 9 AM to 10:45 AM. His funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 10:45 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Interment will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
