I just learned of Fred's passing. My deepest condolences to Cory and his daughters. He always spoke frequently and favorably of his family. I was a nurse in the Loyola Cancer Center when Fred was in the pharmacy. He often had short comments about different components of daily practice in the treatment area, not all of these were favorable. I enjoyed his stories and was fascinated by his love of Disney Florida. Also, his record-keeping was phenomenal, he always texted on birthdays and anniversaries.

Fred was always good company. Even when he was perturbed, he was hilarious. He became somewhat of a mentor to me when he joined us at the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center. He had a no-nonsense approach to pharmacy and never stopped until every order was completed - and then we cleaned the whole place. I´ll miss his texts on holidays and my birthday the most, as well as my Disney updates. My condolences to Cory, and his whole family, who he adored.

Wit is a combination of intelligence and humor. It shows cleverness and smarts, and keeps one on one's toes when engaging with a witty person. Fred definitely had both intelligence and humor. He always had a joke, story or some news to share. Plus Fred loved Jeopardy and I had the privilege one year when Ray and I visited Cory and Fred in Florida to play along with the two of them and their family via their iPads. Every time that I walk into Creative Cards and Crafts, I'll always remember Fred. Our little store is a home to so many of our customers and friends and we will all miss Fred. (On a side note, remembering him on April Fool's Day would probably please Fred, if he heard a few more jokes!)
