Ferzilet Geannette Saciri, age 56, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on March 6, 1969, in Waterbury, Connecticut, to the late Selaudin and Gennie (Hall) Muka.
The proud only child of an Albanian-immigrant father and Kentuckian mother, Ferzilet valued hard work and worked since she was 16 years old. She had an associate's degree in business from Central Ohio Technical College and was an office manager with Capital Pain Care. She loved secretarial work and did it as long as her body allowed. She was great with people and had the best customer service voice you'd ever heard.
Ferzilet met her future husband in 1989 on a wintery Chicago day, and her life was forever changed. They married in 1990 and went on to have four beautiful children who were their pride and joy.
Ferzilet adored her children, her family, and her friends. She supported her children in their activities of choice whatever they may be: dancing, travel soccer, quiz bowl teams. She was a proud "room mom," and active member of her children' s Parent Teacher association (PTA) as they grew up. Throughout college and beyond, Ferzilet was a present and caring figure in her children's lives. She was a dutiful mother and made sure her children always felt supported and loved at every stage in their lives. Ferzilet was also an exceptionally dedicated daughter, caring closely for her parents for many years until their passing.
Ferzilet was an avid reader (Danielle Steel and Janet Evanovich were her favorites). She instilled a great love of reading in all of her children. She has fond memories of traveling with her husband and children, especially day-trips around Ohio. Ferzilet loved to binge watch T.V. with her daughter, Gennete, and many afternoons were spent fondly making selections at the local library and movie store.
Ferzilet loved sports and was an avid Patriots and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She loved going out to eat with friends, a nice cup of black coffee (or a hot chai tea), and shopping 'til she dropped with her girlfriends and kids.
She is survived by her husband, Taip Saciri; children, Besnik "Bez" Saciri, Gezim Saciri, Burim Saciri, and Gennete Saciri; brothers, Servet Muka, and Ymer (Halime) Muka.
Along with her parents, Ferzilet is preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Ajko Muka.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 5-7 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home; 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050. A private family service will take place, with burial at Mound View Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
