Ronald Lee Mahring, age 82 of Howard was born November 30, 1942, in Columbus. He passed away Friday evening, September 19, 2025, in Mount Vernon.
He graduated in January of 1962 from North High School in Columbus. Member of the Masonic Order Linden Lodge 637, Knox Chapter #236 Order of the Eastern Star 53-year member current Secretary/Treasurer of Baldwin Shrine Club, Past President of Northern Shrine, Coshocton Shrine Club and Baldwin Shrine Club. Member of Kentucky Colonials, Clan #8 Hillbilly Degree, 32nd Degree Valley of Cambridge, Clinton Commandery #5, Community Chapter #227, and a member of Council, Mount Vernon. Member of Kam Ram Grotto and serving as secretary and a Past Monarch.
Ron previously owned Lee's Glass in Coshocton retiring from A&E Glass and Aluminum, Columbus working in the glass business for over 44 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred Tirey Mahring and Lawrence Mahring, wife's Lillian Bishop Dean and Jane Biggs Kamer Mahring, and grandson Joshua Lerch.
On April 25, 1998, Ron married Stephanie Bainter Mahring in Tennessee. They shared many memories together and there was constant laughter. He is survived by his children, Traci Lerch Mahring of NC, Matt Kamer (Beth) Cleveland, Kristin Seegers (Tony) of Coshocton; grandchildren, Alex (Tessa) Lerch of London, OH and Mallory Kamer (Joe) of Columbus; great granddaughter, Kinsley Vesco of London, Ohio; brother-in-law, Phillip Bainter (Jamie Sims) of SC, sister-in-law, Kay Biggs and a niece Holly Biggs He is also survived by his "little girl" dog Susie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 12:00 – 2:00PM at Flower-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St. in Mount Vernon. Funeral services, Masonic and Eastern Star services will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
