Born August 23, 1949, in Connersville, Indiana, to Fletcher and Patricia Callahan Sr., Fletcher lived in this community most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and former postmaster in Brownsville and Cambridge City. Fletcher was a pastor for 49 years serving at several churches before retiring as Pastor at Bible Baptist Church in Richmond, Indiana. He was a great and godly man. Fletcher was a good husband and loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Brenda Mullins Callahan; children, Lisa Jackson, Donnie (Carrie) Adams Jr., and 2 other children; several grandchildren, including special granddaughter, Miley; several great grandchildren; sisters, Rita Callahan and Pamela (Mark) Gilpin; special brother in law, Kyle and Ruth Mullins; brothers in law, Thomas (Marsha) Mullins and James (Charlene) Mullins; sister in law, Debra (Doug) Burke; nieces; nephews; many friends; and special friend, Mike Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son; and son in law.
Visitation for Fletcher Callahan Jr. will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Bible Baptist Church, 4274 U.S. 27 North, Richmond, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Bible Baptist Church with Pastors Nathan Faddis, Tim Denney, Joe Roysden, and Bill Fields officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Dale Cemetery, Connersville, Indiana.
