Fletcher Lee Letner, born on June 27, 1947, in Ten Mile, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, at the age of 78. He is remembered as a beloved husband, father, and dedicated community member. Fletcher spent his career serving with pride as a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor for the Tennessee Valley Authority and later as the Community Service Director for McMinn County, where he made a lasting impact through his work.
He attended Concord Methodist Church. A proud member of Meigs Lodge #213 Free and Accepted Masons, Fletcher's commitment to service extended into his active participation in the Ten Mile Lions Club, where he served as past president. His love for community and fellowship reflected his immense heart and generosity. In addition to his community involvement, Fletcher was an avid fisherman and a passionate collector of antique fishing lures, finding joy in both the hunt and the catch.
Fletcher was preceded in death by: his father, Dailey Letner and cherished mother, Maudie Letner and 9 siblings, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Toy and Hazel Swafford.
Fletcher is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Brenda Swafford Letner, his loving son, Brian Letner (Julia), grandson, Brent Maddron (Katie), and great-grandchildren, Annslee & Acelynn Maddron, and several nieces and nephews, other extended family and a host of friends. The bonds he forged with his family and friends will forever be treasured, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
At Fletcher's request, there will be no formal services held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Celebrate Recovery at Watts Bar Community Church or to the Concord Methodist Church, symbolizing Fletcher's lifelong dedication to nature and community service.
As we bid farewell to Fletcher Lee Letner, may his passionate spirit of love, community service, and adventure continue to inspire us all.
