Flora Helen Bownds

Flora Helen Bownds, age 92 passed away July 8, 2024, at her home in Midland, Texas. She was born November 23, 1931, in Huley-Ann, Texas. Helen was a very loving and generous woman loved by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
Helen married Wiley E. Bownds in Amarillo, Texas on September 5, 1953. Together they raised Cheryl Bownds of Andrews and Wesley Bownds of Midland, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Bownds, her parents, C.W. Webb and Amy Jewel Webb and sister Mary Reeder. She is survived by her children, daughter-in-law, Lisa Bownds, sisters Yvonne Bryant of Colorado, Judy Edwards of North Carolina, granddaughters, Kelsey Dunn, and Britney Knickerbocker. Helen was blessed with five great grandchildren, Hudson, Colton, Sophie, Violet, and Ellie.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Martha and Manda Ramirez for their kind and loving care of our beloved mother and grandmother for the last few years. Your love and compassion will always be remembered.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Andrews County Old Cemetery located at1401 W. Broadway Street, Andrews, Texas.
