Randall Bownds Obituary
Randy, also known to his friends as "Big," was born July 24, 1954, in Houston, Texas, the son of Adrian and Corin Calmes Bownds. He grew up in Houston and graduated from Northwest Academy. Randy was united in marriage to Cheryl Dittert, on September 21, 1979, in Houston, Texas. They lived in Houston before moving to Millheim in 1981. He was employed as a vehicle damage estimator for State Farm Insurance.
He participated in numerous barbeque cook-offs all over the state and won many awards. In his younger years, he enjoyed fabricating and working on Sprint and Super Modified race cars. In later years he was part of a team that built and raced Volkswagens.
Randy is survived by his wife: Cheryl Bownds of Millheim; daughter: Adrienne Edwards and her husband, Rodger, of Granbury; grandchildren: Kaci Morales-Ortega and her husband, Kevin; Evie Lopez; Isaac Lopez; and numerous other family members and dear friends.
Randy was a devoted member of Mill Creek Church in Bellville, Texas, and a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Adrian and Corin Bownds, and his brother: Russell Duane Bownds.
