Floraine "Flo" "Liz" Pikyavit, 74, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Washington, Utah.
Floraine was born on November 9, 1951, in Fillmore, Utah, to Joe and Emily Pikyavit. She was raised in Fillmore, where she built lifelong memories and friendships, and later graduated from Millard High School. She spent time living in Provo, Utah, and worked in Salt Lake City as a certified nurse assistant, dedicating herself early on to caring for others.
She eventually returned to Kanosh to be close to her family, where she worked at the Fillmore Hospital. Later, she moved to St. George, Utah, where she spent 35 years working as a pharmacy technician at Intermountain Health. Her long career reflected her strong work ethic and her deep commitment to helping those in need.
She also embraced adventure and new experiences. She traveled to Germany, where she lived for two years with her sister Vida before returning to Utah. She loved to travel and go camping, always finding joy in the outdoors and in exploring new places.
She was an enthusiastic sports fan who cheered on the Seahawks, the Utah Jazz, and the Aces. She also loved attending concerts, cooking, and hosting barbecues with family and friends. Above all, she cherished time spent at family gatherings and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Floraine is survived by her companion of 44 years, Gordan (Jesse McNary); her sister, Vida Pikyavit Preston; her daughter, Dawn (Mark) Wilson; her grandchildren, Amanda Lake and Albert Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Emily Pikyavit, and her siblings McKay Pikyavit, Earl Pikyavit, Louise Pikyavit Bushhead, Shirley James, Ralph Pikyavit, Phil Pikyavit, Madelan Pikyavit Redfoot, and Frank Pikyavit.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. A second viewing will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Kanosh Indian Reservation Band Building.
She will be laid to rest on Friday, April 3, 2026, at sunrise.
