Florence "Flossy" Frances Bergquist
Florence "Flossy" Frances Bergquist, age 102, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, at
Orchard View Terrace Assisted Living in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
Born on August 4, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Flossy lived a long and beautiful life
centered around faith, family, and hospitality. She was preceded in death by her beloved
husband of 49 years, Roy C. Bergquist; her brother Frank; her sisters Gladys, Mary, Frances,
Helen, and Catheryn; and her grandson, Anthony Michael.
Flossy is survived by her loving children: Mary Ellen (Tom) Jeffery, Anne (Bob) Stelzmiller,
Robert (Cindy) Bergquist, and Richard (Connie) Bergquist. She was a grandmother to
Thomas, Corey, Bridget, Rachel, Ashley, Amy, Roy, Michael, Margret, Kaela, Breanna, and
Ella, and a cherished great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren.
A true matriarch, Flossy's home was known as a revolving door-always open to family
members during times of transition, whether it was college, a career shift, or simply a
season of change. Her pantry was never without Oreos or donut holes, always ready for
visiting grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Above all, she was a steady and faithful
prayer warrior, holding her family and loved ones in daily prayer.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
