Florence Virginia Brown, 92, was born on October 30, 1932, to the union of Tyree and Anna Dixon in Webster Groves, Missouri. She departed this life on July 15, 2025 at home with her daughter and family. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her siblings; Hutcher Dixon, Thelma Diaz, and Delores Skinner.

Florence attended Webster Groves School District. Florence joined church at an early age, attending the United Methodist Church and served on the usher board. She married the late Marzine Morris and to this union her oldest son, Marzine Jr., affectionately known as "June", was born. Years later her youngest son Maurice Morris better known as "Buck", was adopted. While married to Marzine, Florence decided to give back to the community and become a foster mother of St. Louis. Florence won the title "Foster Mother of the Year" two years consecutively.

In the early 70's Florence moved to Texas, and found love again with her late husband, Jesse Brown. The couple gained custody of their granddaughter Brandi at the age of 5 years old. Being the only parents that Brandi knew, Florence had no issue being called "mom". Florence retired from Texas Instruments and began bowling as a hobby. She enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling, and loved her family and friends. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Florence leaves to cherish her memory, her dedicated daughter; Brandi (Richard) Mansco, granddaughter; Tori (Taylor) Sharkey, one younger brother; Tyree Dixon, and a number of dear grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dedicated and loving relatives and friends.
