Florence E. Legenhausen, 84 of Endwell, NY unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on the morning of October 21st, 2021 at Wilson Hospital.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years William H. Legenhausen. Together they lived, loved, laughed, and traveled. They have two children, a daughter Kathy Collins [wife of Thomas] and Kurt Legenhausen [wife Nancy]. Six grandchildren- Kristen, Sarah, Paul, Richard, Erik and Kyle. They have three great grandchildren- Jeremiah, Anneliese and Maxwell.
Her love for her husband, family, friends, and her Lord never faltered. Florence was a retired Elementary School Teacher [Freeport,NY], Sunday School Teacher, Long time member of Endwell UMC. She lived a lifetime devoted to helping others.
God knew what He was doing when he created Florence. She was a disciple of Christ who was always ready to do His work and share the Gospel. She loved everyone she met, saw the good in people and always put others before herself. She touched more lives than anyone could imagine and everyone loved our "Grammy".
The Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 30th from 10-11 am, with a Memorial Service to start at 11 am at Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E Main Street Endicott NY 13760. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to: Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or Habitat for Humanity.
