Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, Florence L. Blaney, returned to the loving embrace of Jesus, at HealthSource on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the age 84. The daughter of the late David Anklam and Mary Rossman was born on March 10, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan. Florence was extremely family-oriented, coming from a family with 17 siblings, she enjoyed creating memories that would last a lifetime. Florence had many pleasures in life, but the greatest by far were her grandchildren. She enjoyed the peace she found fishing and gardening. She was an avid treasure hunter at thrift stores and garage sales. Her family will always remember the love that Florence had for them.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Robert Blaney, Basil Blaney Jr., Teresa (Bruce) Bakke, Ben (Diane) Blaney, Trina (Lee) LaBelle; daughter-in-law, Pamela Blaney; grandchildren, Robert Tune, David (Stephanie) Blaney, Alan Blaney, Matthew (Elizabeth) Blaney, Katrina (Omar) Orizaga, Amanda (Marilyn Markel) Blaney, Allison Blaney (fiancé Mat Jones), Steven LaBelle, Tonya LaBelle (fiancé Chris Bardin), Dennis Miller, Michelle (Matt) Frasier, Tiffany (Cody) Brindley, Kristie Blaney, Danielle Blaney, Anthony Blaney, Brittany Blaney, Albert Blaney, and Jerry Blaney; brothers, Roy Anklam and Thomas Anklam; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is lovingly reunited with her son, William Blaney; granddaughter, Sarah McCleod; many siblings; and her parents, David and Mary.
A Funeral Service honoring the life of Florence will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 North Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty), Saginaw, Michigan 48603. Rev Fr. David J. Jenuwine will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Honoring the wishes of Florence and her family cremation will follow. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory may consider memorial contributions CAER Center, a food pantry located in Chesaning, Michigan at 218 Church St.
