Floy “Ninny” Othean LouAllen, 79, of Moulton, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Lawrence Medical Center. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Scottie Hill and Chris Smith officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Methodist Cemetery.
Born on March 4, 1945 in Courtland, Alabama to the late Virgil and Christine Terry Smith, Othean was a loving mother and grandmother who never turned away a stranger. If the world was full of mothers like her, it would be a much better place. She loved with her whole heart, her world was loving her kids, grandkids, great and great-great grandkids, and even kids that weren't family.
A member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Walker County, Othean loved making everybody else happy, cooking, and never putting herself first. She always made sure everyone was happy before her, and loved everyone not matter what you had done or who you were. Othean would always make sure you were taken care of.
Survivors include her children, Walter (April) LouAllen, Lisa (Willie) Roberts, and Andy (Cindy) LouAllen; grandchildren, Thomas (Cynthia) Casteel, Jennifer "Pooh" (Isaac) Jackson, Dakota Sutton, Nicholas Sutton, Caden Sutton, Eric (Shelly) Terry, Johnathon (Luci) Terry, Dustin (Alyssa) Terry, Candace (Matt) Chaney, Isaiah Schofield, Amanda (Chris) Douglas, Thomas (Ashley) Laster; 28 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; daughters-in law, Belinda Little, and Diane LouAllen; son-in-law, John Hamilton; sister, Barbara Ledlow; brother, Lloyd (Elaine) Smith; special friend, Ann LouAllen; her precious dog, Boo-Boo; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Othean was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Hamilton; parents; sister, Ethel McGuire; and brothers, Anthony "Buddy" Smith, and Michael Smith.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Jackson, Dakota Sutton, Wyatt Terry, Thomas Casteel, Chris Terry, Austin Chaney, and Jordan Chaney. Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Muston, and Jason Whitfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lawrence Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
