Floyd William Broughton, age 78, of Marion, OH, passed away on September 20, 2025, at his residence. On April 27, 1947, Floyd was born to his late parents, Claude William Broughton and Lula May Willams in Fayetteville Co., WV. He married Carol M. Kelly in Marion, OH, on February 11, 1985.

Floyd was a foundry worker working for many years, here in Marion. He loved martial arts and was a black belt in karate who focused on self-defense. Although he was a smaller guy, he lived a big life. Besides martial arts, Floyd enjoyed fishing and working on cars in his free time. Even though he had a foul mouth at times, he had a big heart.

Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Broughton, and his sisters, Barb (Douglas) Broughton, and Dorothy (Rousch) Broughton.

He is survived by loving wife, Carol M. Kelly, his son, Michael Broughton, stepsons, Richard Kelly and Douglas Kelly, brothers; Everett (Sheila) Broughton and Tommy (Janet) Broughton, and his sister, Diane Meade, and a host of grandchildren, family and friends.
