Floyd David CARR

Floyd David Carr (Dave) passed away in his home in Fairfield, WA, on December 7, 2023. Dave was born on June 23, 1961, in Walla Walla, WA, to Floyd Newton Carr, Jr. (Mose) and Dorothy Genevieve Ruchert. Dave was raised in Pomeroy, WA, where he had many adventures with his large family. Dave became a Journeyman Carpenter, and he served 32 years in the Local 0059 Carpenter's Union in Spokane, WA. Dave loved woodworking, building custom furniture from scratch and restoring many unique pieces from local thrift stores. Dave also found joy in nature, watching the birds and squirrels that frequented his backyard. Dave was preceded in death by his mother: Dorothy Ruchert; father: Mose Carr; brothers: Dan Carr, Rick Ruchert, and Buzz Ruchert; and faithful dog: Molly. Dave is survived by his children: Jayne 'Bug' Carr, Cassandra (Reese) Johnston, Alene (Marc) Felgenhauer, and Sonny (Brandi) Gordon; sisters: Lynette Carr, Mary (Tom) Hustead, Kathy Ruchert, and Linda Stilson; brothers: Mike (Patti) Carr, Russ Ruchert, Bill (Marcia) Ruchert, and Bud (Raechel) Ruchert; beloved grandchildren: David, Apollo, Lillie, Taylor, Kamryn, Elan, Liam, and Bradley; mother of his children: Sylvia Walton; best friend: Geoff Yates; and many nieces and nephews. Dave's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Pomeroy, WA, at Spinners Maple Hall: 699 Columbia St., Pomeroy, WA 99347.
