Floyd Daniel Chandler, 74, of Maplesville, Alabama passed away October 25, 2025, at UAB St. Vincent's Chilton in Clanton, AL.
He was born November 30, 1950, in Clanton Alabama, son of the late Floyd Chandler and the late Minnie Patterson Chandler.
He served in law enforcement in Tuscaloosa County, Greensboro, Clanton, and Selma Police Departments until 1994. He was co-owner of Chandler's PAV-EX until 2004. He then retired to the farm to raise and train horses. Fourteen years ago, with the birth of his first granddaughter, he proudly stepped into one of the most cherished roles of his life -- PawPaw. From that moment on, his heart belonged to his grandchildren. With each new arrival, his love and devotion only deepened. Whether it was sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or offering his quiet wisdom, he found pure joy in being their PawPaw -- a title that brought him more pride than any other.
Surviving are his Wife, Anita Ellison Chandler, Daughter, Taylor Hauswirth, Brother, Michael (Dianne) Chandler, Granddaughter, Baileigh Hauswirth, Granddaughter, Alayna Hauswirth, Grandson, Kolton Hauswirth, Granddaughter, Ellie Hauswirth, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Floyd Cecil Chandler, Mother, Minnie Orene Patterson Chandler, Brother, Horace Dennis Chandler.
The family is deeply grateful to UAB St. Vincent's Chilton Hospital Physicians and Staff and Southern Care New Beacon Hospice for the tender care, kindness, and support shown to him and his family during his illness.
