A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Mr. Floyd Ducote of Hessmer, beginning at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer, La., 3659 Main St, with Father Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Floyd Ducote, age 55, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 15, 2023. He was born on May 28, 1968, in Pineville, La., to Milton Ducote and Ella Louise St. Romain. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandson, Rylin. They loved fishing and doing anything outdoors. He loved making jokes and always had a smile on his face. He would do anything for anyone. He loved his kids and always looked forward to seeing them. He will be so missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Milton Ducote; Son, Mathew (Coppell) Ducote and Sister, Brenda Marie Ducote.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Mother; Ella St. Romain of Hessmer, La., Sons; Tyler Ducote (Brianna) of Glenmora, La., and Christopher Ducote of Hessmer, La., Grandson; Rylin Ducote of Hessmer, La , Daughter; Gabrielle Ducote of Hessmer, La., Sister; Shirley Ducote of Hessmer, La., Brother; Keith Ducote of Bunkie, La., Niece and Nephew, Emily Ducote of Hessmer, La., and Corey Paquette (Sarah) of Woodworth, La., Great-niece and nephew; Aubree and Sawyer Paquette of Woodworth, La., and beloved pup Buster of Hessmer, La.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2023, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 334 Acton Road, Marksville, La., and will continue Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., also at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Procession to St. Alphonsus Church in Hessmer will begin at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, following visitation.
