Kathleen Mary Ducote passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the age of 72.
Kathleen was born on May 31, 1953 in New Orleans, LA. She graduated from Belle Chasse High School and worked in several fields through the years. She was a very talented cook and was known for her artistic flair in everything she did. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her exotic hibiscus. Her real joy was reading and always looked forward to the next chapter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Joseph and Mary McCarrick Ducote and her sister, Gail Ducote Furman. She is survived by two sons; Ryan Laugharn (Christine) and Justin Laugharn (Kari) her five grandchildren; Rylie, Brinley, Ayva, Lyla, and Jaxon, her sister; Donna Begovich and brother-in-law Buddy Begovich, her bonus siblings; Sandy Laugharn and Brad Laugharn and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family would like to thank Riverbend Nursing & Rehab for their care of Kathleen throughout the years.
A private memorial will be held in New Orleans at a later date for immediate family with burial following in the family crypt in Greenwood Cemetery.
